French

I started studying French at my secondary school when I was 11 and decided to spend an academic year (2012/13) teaching English just outside Paris after university to further my language skills. Below are the most important jobs that I have performed using French in the football world:

• I translated a 100-minute interview with Robert Pirès from French into English in May 2014 which was used in PL Legends: Pires. The show was first aired in July 2014 on Sky Sports.
• I also translated interviews with players such as Eden Hazard, Yohan Cabaye and Franck Ribéry into English in 2014.
• During World Cup 2014, I translated a press conference with Belgium manager Marc Wilmots and captain Vincent Kompany into English.
• I have translated various pieces with France manager Didier Deschamps into English including a press conference at World Cup 2014 and an interview in September 2014.
• I interviewed Arsenal's new signing Mathieu Debuchy in French in July 2014 and translated his answers into English, which can be heard and read on the Arsenal website.
• I translated an interview with Fabien Barthez into English in which he picked his all-time 1-11 for Sky Sports programme The Fantasy Football Club which aired on Friday 22 August 2014.
• I translated a 17-minute interview with former Manchester United player David Bellion into English in October 2014.
• I translated a 27-minute interview with Nabil Guedioura into English in October 2014.
• I translated a 23-minute interview with Monaco's Geoffrey Kondogbia into English in November 2014.
• I translated a 11-minute interview with Anthony Vanden Borre into English in December 2014.
• I translated a 13-minute interview with Roma coach Rudi García into English in December 2014.
• I translated a 22-minute interview with Manchester City's Eliaquim Mangala into English in February 2015.
• I translated a 17-minute interview with West Ham's Diafra Sakho into English in February 2015.
