Language Tuition

Here are some FAQs about my tutoring. Don't forget to check out the feed to my Facebook page below.

I am interested in improving my language skills, what should I do?
There are countless options but the concrete ways in which I can help are private classes either in person or on Skype and Babble, the free language exchange event which I co-run every Sunday evening in Waterloo, London where people practise their language skills in a relaxed atmosphere.

Do you teach English?
Yes, I have several years' experience as a teacher of English as a foreign language both in England and abroad (France, Italy and Spain). I spent six summers teaching English to teenagers on summer camp, mainly with Education First (2008-2013). I also spent two academic years on the British Council English Language Assistant programme in secondary schools in Madrid and Paris.

Do you teach any other languages?
Yes, I teach Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese, too.

Does it matter if I'm a beginner/expert?
Not at all, I have taught English, Spanish and French at various levels from total beginner to university degree level.

What is your teaching style?
I prefer the communicative approach since for most people, that is the main aim when learning a language. Idioms, spelling games, translation sentences and newspaper articles tend to be key parts of my lessons!

Where do you teach?
As a tutor, I usually travel to the student's house with my gear as long as the journey is reasonable from Mill Hill, London!

Do you do Skype lessons?
Yes, I do. These can be arranged at your convenience.

How much do you charge?
I offer competitive rates which depend on various factors such as what the student wants to learn, preparation needed and travel.
